There has been some news about our museum recently. I wanted to personally communicate to you all that we have engaged a restructuring process. The times required that we do some retooling not just to stay healthy but to thrive. The neighborhood is growing and we want to grow too.
We will open the museum activity again mid October with two wonderful exhibitions. You are cordially invited! If the weather allows it we will try to extend the opening party to the roof - perhaps we have found a generous individual to act as donor for a tent in the meantime!
In the meanwhile, please note that the exhibition by Jack Toolin “Perfect View” in Project Room for New Media at CAM can be visited by appointment. Please contact nina@chelseaartmuseum.org
And a reminder:
- Opening Reception 'Digital Art @ Google', on August 20th, 6-8 pm on Google premises in Chelsea, 75 Ninth Avenue. Email RSVP@chelseaartmuseum.org
- Artist talk with Jack Toolin on August 26th, 6-8 pm, at the Chelsea Art Museum
We hope that you continue to share the passion with us for the Chelsea Art Museum. Since its opening in 2002, the museum has worked hard to establish its place as a valuable cultural institution, unique to the neighborhood and outstanding in exhibitions and programming. It is our vision to grow along with the neighborhood, which includes the wonderfully restored High Line and the newly developed Hudson River Park, and retain our place as a cultural anchor in Chelsea.
Sincerely,
Dorothea Keeser
