[PAM] PERPETUAL ART MACHINE
VIDEO ART IN THE AGE OF THE INTERNET
Co-curated by Nina Colosi and
the [PAM] Founders (Lee Wells, Chris
Borkowski, Arron Miller and Raphaele Shirley)

Perpetual Art Machine is a living archive and research project of 21st
century international video art, featuring over 1300 videos from more than
700 artists from over 70 countries culminating in immersive interactive
video experiences. Created in December 2005 as a collaboration between the
artists Lee Wells, Raphaele Shirley, Chris Borkowski and Aaron Miller as a
means to democratizes the curatorial process by inviting both the artist and
the viewer/user to participate through live interactive installations and
online through [PAM]’s free community video portal.

In just over one year, [PAM] has been presented in 9 countries through
installations, screenings and lectures. Some of the exhibitions include, the
2nd Moscow Biennale, WRO07 at the National Museum-Warsaw, Coachella Music
and Arts Festival, Split Film Festival, Le Name Media Festival, and 6
consecutive Scope Art Fairs in New York, Miami, London and East Hampton.

[PAM] will be hosting a roundtable discussion to discuss the current state
and future of the medium as it pertains to archiving, production and
collecting video art in the 21st century.

Along side of the [PAM] installation the exhibition will be featuring single
and multi-channel video installations from the most innovative artists in
the [PAM] community including work by: Janet Biggs, Peer Bode, Cliff Evans,
Wai Kit Lam, Patrick Lichty, Xu Tan, plus others to be announced.
